Dementia Live® Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the Dementia Live® program include?

A: Dementia Live® is available at two levels to best support your business goals and organizational needs. Regardless of level, all Dementia Live® programs include a gear pack, which includes experience components and task-associated supplies needed to conduct Dementia Live® sessions, 6-hour coach training, and access to a set of REVEAL Aging 1-hour microlearning courses.

Q: Does Dementia Live® require ongoing costs?

A: Yes! Dementia Live® requires a nominal monthly subscription, which can be paid annually. Subscription covers program use license, access to coach resources and general support through customer service, quarterly education updates, webinars, and newsletters. Annually, all clients receive training credits to support staff turnover or further program implementation.

 

Q: Is Dementia Live® only a staff training program?

A: No! Dementia Live® is a powerful educational experience for anyone. Most AGE-u-cate clients use Dementia Live® for family education and community outreach as well. To support our mission of Igniting Change, AGE-u-cate provides valuable resources for how to adapt Dementia Live® for a variety of audiences through access to Dementia Live® Coach Resources.

Q: Does AGE-u-cate offer ongoing support?

A: Yes! AGE-u-cate team members are always available for questions or general support. We love learning from our clients and creating new content for ongoing enrichment of our programs! All trained coaches gain access to Coach Resources, a portal with refresher videos, downloadable forms and other program documents, and a place where AGE-u-cate releases new content periodically.

 

Q: Is the setting for Dementia Live® flexible?      

A: Yes! Dementia Live® is very adaptable. During training, Dementia Live® Coaches receive information on ways to adapt the Dementia Live® experience for a variety of audiences and locations. Tips and techniques for creative sessions can be accessed through the Dementia Live® Coach Resources portal.

 

Q: Are Dementia Live® events safe to host in person?

A: Yes! AGE-u-cate provides a starter set of cleaning supplies and Dementia Live® Coaches are trained on proper cleaning techniques for all components. The experience room size and location can be adapted along with the number of participants to allow for maximum flexibility. AGE-u-cate also released Dementia Live®: The Virtual Experience in 2020, adapting the program to be delivered via a virtual platform.

With any in-person event, AGE-u-cate suggests that you follow all guidelines set by the CDC, your local governing body, and your organization or agency.
